Hi people passing by my website, I’m Danyang Chen（陈丹扬）from Ningbo, China. I am glad to introduce myself to you!
Physics & I
From a very young age, I was curious about the reasons behind the fact and the laws of our world. I was fascinated by why a soap powered boat can move on water and I was willing to design the control program behind a LEGO robot. Gradually, I made up my mind that my career should enable me to study the universe’s basic rules and then change humankind, more specifically, a physicist.
My favorite courses in SJTU are Quantum Optics, Quantum Mechanics, General Relativity, because these courses explained the basic knowledges about how the universe runs, which always makes me excited. And in the summer of 2019 and 2020, I took part in two programs related to Quantum Computation, and I made up my mind that Quantum Computation is a perfect career for me to work on.

Photography & I
I recieved my first camera Sony a6000 from by father when I was in the high school, and started to take photos of everything in my life. Everytime I travel, I will take my camera with me and record the best scene along my journey. And now landscape is my favourite shooting subject.
Besides, I joined the Astronomy Club in both high school and university, so it’s my dream to have my own photo album of starry sky, planets and deep-sky objects. But currently it is still a dream for various reasons.
Music & I
I enjoyed pop music in high school, like music from Coldplay, Imagin Dragon, One Republic, etc. But as time goes by, my taste devaloped and become more sophisticated. Currently I appreciate minority music more, and enjoy listening to Electric Dance Music (EDM). And I attended an Electric Music Festival in 2018, and these parties were really energetic and fun.
Now I almost can’t live without my earphones or sound box, even when I am finishing a job which requires me to focus. Actually, some styles of the Electric Music is relaxing and can calm me down, for example, Deep Progressive House.
